Position Overview:

Copenhagen Bombay is looking for a Technical Director who is passionate about working with animation, both 3D and 2D. We expect that you love coding as much as you love people. You should be able to help the team with daily production issues and take ownership on production processes that contribute to the final quality of the project, and expand and continue to develop our pipeline together with our Lead TD. We also expect you to possess excellent communication skills, having the ability to communicate effectively with people with various levels of technical expertise.
This position does not allow for full remote work.

What you will be doing:

• Technical support of ongoing productions
• Review manuscripts to highlight technical issues and evaluate against the project’s scope
• Finding new ways to improve existing workflows.
• Developing pipeline tools
• Troubleshooting both software and hardware issues
• Keep a strong technical overview of ongoing projects, think long term about production strategy.
• Proactively anticipate challenges ahead
• Writing processes’ documentation.

Required Skills and Experience: 

• Deep understanding of 3D and 2D animation productions.
• Scripting experience: Python is required. JavaScript and PySide are a plus.
• 3D generalist knowledge ( modelling, rigging, light , shading, texturing)
• Compositing experience 3D & 2D (Node based or AE )

• Familiar with the adobe package (Photoshop/AfterEffects/Premiere)
